Otitis Media-Causes

1. Otitis media is caused by viruses such as Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), Rhinovirus, Influenza Virus etc.
2. Otitis media is caused by bacteria like Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Morarella catarrhalis etc.
3. If the Eustachian tube of the middle ear is swollen.
4. Swollen lymph nodes called adenoids.
5. Children with weakened immune systems, colds and ear infections.
6. If the baby is not breastfed or is given little milk.
