The root that develops from the base of the stem when the primary root is destroyed is called a bunch root. The roots of monocots are clustered roots. For example – Paddy, Wheat, Sugarcane, Bhutra, Kaun, Barley, Durbaghas, Palm, Betel nut, Onion, Garlic etc.
