Types of flowers according to gamous

(i) Monogamous : A flower having only one stamen is called a monogamous flower. For example, beans.
(ii) Digamous : A flower which has two stamens is called a digamous flower. For example, mustard.
(iii) Trigamous : A flower having three stamens is called a trigamous flower. For example, onions, red leaves etc.
(iv) Polygamous: A flower having more than three stamens is called a multigamous flower. For example – china rose.
(v) Open gamous : A flower with multiple septa separated from each other is called a open gamous flower. For example, gold printing.
(vi) Compound gamous: If multiple carpels are connected to each other in a flower, it is called compound gamous flower. For example – Dhutura, Eggplant.
