(i) Implant: An implant is a thin rod like a small wall stick containing progesterone hormone. It secretes hormones when placed in women’s arms that prevent pregnancy.
(ii) Ring: It is a small and flexible device which is placed in the vagina. It secretes estrogen hormone which prevents pregnancy.
(iii) Intrauterine Device-IUD: It is a small T-shaped device made of metal which is placed in the uterus. It prevents the union of sperm and egg.
