Diploid parthenogenesis

If the diploid egg produced by the process of mitosis develops into an embryo without fertilization, it is called diploid parthenogenesis. The organisms produced in this process are diploid. Such as Parthenium (Parthenium argentatum), Tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum), Taraxacum (Taraxacum albidum) etc.
