AIDS introduction and causes

 

Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome is abbreviated as AIDS. Human immune system is completely destroyed by the attack of HIV virus and people are easily affected by any disease. This condition is called AIDS. The HIV virus destroys macrophages and T2 lymphocyte cells in human white blood cells.

In 1983, the French scientist Dr. Lue Montagnier discovered the AIDS virus and named it Lymphadenopathy associated virus (LAV). In 1984 American scientist Dr. Robert Gallo separately discovered this virus and named it Human T-cell Lymphotropic virus, strain III (HTLV-III). In 1986, the International Committee on Nomenclature of Viruses recognized it as Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

Prevents of Gonorrhea

  1. Promiscuous intercourse should be stopped.
  2. Religious rules must be followed.
  3. Abstain from alcohol and drugs.
  4. Blood should be tested at the time of collection.
  5. Do not use the same needle by more than one person while drawing blood.
  6. Using a condom during sex.
  7. Choosing a reliable sexual partner.
  8. Avoid polygamy in sexual intercourse.
  9. Wash the whole body thoroughly after intercourse.
  10. Regular STD testing of sex workers and polygamists.
  11. Providing social rehabilitation of sex workers.
  12. Treatment of a child with newly acquired syphilis.
  13. Treat the sick person quickly.

Gonorrhea Symptoms of women

50-75% of women with the disease are asymptomatic.

  1. Strong desire to urinate, frequent urination, burning and pain.
  2. Skin rash and fever.
  3. Abdominal pain.
  4. There is severe pain and bleeding during bowel movements.
  5. Skin and heart damage.
  6. Inflammation of joints and brain.
  7. Irregular menstruation and severe pain.
  8. Vaginal discharge is red and sore.
  9. Vaginal discharge of white or yellow color.
  10. Painful intercourse.
  11. Ovarian inflammation occurs.
  12. Ovarian obstruction and infertility.
  13. The baby has ophthalmia neonatorum (inflammation of the eye).

Gonorrhea Symptoms of men

10-15% of infected men are asymptomatic. Male symptoms are only noticeable in the morning and mild.

  1. Strong desire to urinate, frequent urination, burning and pain.
  2. Pressing after urination produces pus.
  3. The root canal is narrowed and painful.
  4. The throat is broken.
  5. Skin and heart damage.
  6. Inflammation of joints and brain.
  7. Itching and sores in the anus.
  8. There is severe pain and bleeding during bowel movements.
  9. Pain in testicles and scrotum.
  10. Inflammation of the prostate gland, seminal vesicles and epididymis.

Transmission of Gonorrhea

Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease. The disease spreads through sexual intercourse between men and women. Vaginal, oral, and anal sex causes erogenous transmission from one body to another. The disease is spread through sexual contact. The disease is spread through the blood, wounds or kisses of an infected person. Children can get sick from infected bedding, sheets, clothes etc. Dense housing and unsanitary conditions can cause gonorrhea in children.

Gonorrhea is more common in men than women. Active teenager causes deadly complications. About 200 million people worldwide are infected with erosive diseases every year. In Bangladesh, erosive prevalence is higher in urban than rural areas.

Causes of the disease: Gonorrhea is caused by bacteria called Neisseria gonorrhoeae.

Treatment of syphilis

The erogen is completely cured by taking antibiotic drugs or injections. Both husband and wife or sexual partners should be treated. There is no vaccine. A single injection of Benzathine penicillin can cure the disease as advised by the doctor. But if in dormant state, one injection should be given every week. Besides, medicines like Penicillin, Ceftriaxone, Doxycyclin, Azithromycin etc. can be taken.
