Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BRRI) has developed 17 varieties of wheat through hybridization. High yielding wheat varieties are – Balaka, Akbar, Kanchan, Barkat and Saugat. Besides, BR-27 and BR-28 wheat are more improved.
