William G. Kaelin

They explain the role of regulating gene activity in response to different oxygen levels. Received Nobel Prize in Medicine (2019) and Albert Lasker Award. 66. Bruce A. Beutler: Born – 29 December 1957 AD. He is an American immunologist and geneticist. Beutler and Hoffman discovered the genetic strategy for activating innate immunity. Awarded Nobel in Medicine (2011) and Albany Medical Center Prize.

Warren and Marshall discovered the bacteria Helicobacter pylori and discovered the bacteria’s role in causing gastritis and peptic ulcers. Awards received include Nobel in Medicine (2005), Lasker Award, Paul Ehrlich and Ludwig Darmstaedter, Buchanan Medal, Prince Mahidol Award, Keio Medical Science Prize etc.
